Two–Level System and Some Approximate Solutions in the Strong Coupling Regime

چکیده
In this paper we treat the 2–level system interacting with outer fields without the rotating wave approximation and construct some approximate solutions in the strong coupling regime. In this paper we consider the 2–level system interacting with outer fields (a radiation field for example ) and treat this system without the rotating wave approximation (RWA). Usually we assume the RWA and solve the equation. This approximation is appropriate in the weak coupling regime, however in the strong coupling one it is not applicable. See for example [1] and [2]. How can we treat the system in the strong coupling regime ? Shahriar et al treated this problem in [3], [4] and [5] and constructed some approximate solutions which contained what they called the Bloch–Siegert oscillation. By the way we have treated some important models coming from quantum optics in the strong coupling regime, see [6], [7] and [8] (also [9] for an experiment in the strong coupling ∗E-mail address : [email protected] 1 regime). This method is also applicable in the case, so we construct some approximate solutions which are completely different from those of Shahriar et al. We believe that our solutions are more general. Let {σ1, σ2, σ3} be Pauli matrices : σ1 =

We use a nonperturbative method based on quantum averaging and an adapted from of resonant transformations to treat the resonances of the Hamiltonian of a two-level atom interacting with a one-mode classical field in Floquet formalism. We illustrate this method by extraction of effective Hamiltonians of the system in two regimes of weak and strong coupling. The results obtained in the strong-...
متن کاملIncrease of cationic concentration due to bending of overcharged DNA in strong Coulomb coupling regime
This study reveals that, in strong coulomb coupling regime, bending a straight and fully overcharged DNA (up to its ‘maximal acceptance’ by multivalent cations) to a circle releases some of the adsorbed (correlated) cations but still remains fully overcharged. This phenomenon seems to be inherent to the minimum energy state of a DNA. By definition, the total electrostatic potential energy of a ...

The one photon absorption (OPA) cross section of a current carrying two-orbital quantum dot (QD) with strong electron-phonon interaction (polaron regime) is considered. Using the self-consistent non-equilibrium Hartree-Fock (HF) approximation, we determine the dependence of OPA cross section on the applied bias voltage, the strength of effective electron-electron interaction, and level spacing ...
متن کاملNonresonant Excitation of the Forced Duffing Equation
We investigate the hard nonresonant excitation of the forced Duffing equation with a positive damping parameter E. Using the symbolic manipulation system MACSYMA, a computer algebra system. we derive the two term perturbation expansion by the method of multiple time scales. The resulting approximate solution is valid for small values of the coefficient e As the damping parameter e increases, th...
متن کاملExact and approximate solutions of fuzzy LR linear systems: New algorithms using a least squares model and the ABS approach
We present a methodology for characterization and an approach for computing the solutions of fuzzy linear systems with LR fuzzy variables. As solutions, notions of exact and approximate solutions are considered. We transform the fuzzy linear system into a corresponding linear crisp system and a constrained least squares problem. If the corresponding crisp system is incompatible, then the fuzzy ...
